Registering and moving domains

Your domain is the one asset in this list you cannot re-create if you lose it, so it is worth understanding who holds it and how to move it. Domains registered here are managed in the same panel as your hosting, which means DNS, SSL and renewals live in one place instead of three.

.com.np is free, but it is verified.

Nepal’s registry issues .com.np at no cost and requires documents proving you may use the name — typically a business registration or citizenship document. Approval is not instant, so start it before you need the site live.

A domain and hosting do not have to be bought together.

If your domain is registered elsewhere you can keep it there and simply point its DNS at us. Nothing forces a transfer.

Transfers need the domain unlocked and an auth code.

Get both from your current registrar first. A transfer usually adds a year to the registration rather than losing the time you have already paid for.

DNS changes are not instant.

Resolvers cache records for as long as the TTL says. Lowering the TTL a day before a planned move is the difference between a switch that takes minutes and one that takes a day.
